What is Sports Massage
Sports massage is a very effective type of massage to improve muscle, fascia and connective tissue health.
It uses firm-pressure designed to release tight layers of muscle and tissue, which usually develops from bad posture, injury or overuse. Restoring proper function in the deeper tissues alleviates pain, muscle spasm, assists in injury recovery and improves your overall health.

Positive Health Clinic works with clients before an event. We recommend a pre-event massage 2-3 days prior to your competition. The treatment includes a rub down to soften tissues and work out any trigger points that may be present. This will enable your body to be supple, flexible and in optimum working condition for the big day.
Post Event Massage
The sooner you can get to the Positive Health Clinic after an event, the better. We recommend a lighter rub down to aid your fatigued body and help it rid the lactic acid build up. A post event massage will help to flush out the toxins and bring fresh, nutrient rich blood to the areas needed, speeding up recovery and the natural healing process. We also offer stone therapy (hot & cold stones) to calm inflammation with amazing results.
